Bohomodern began in 2011 as Margarita Barry’s vision combining her love of pattern, her passion for travel, and her pursuit of beauty in accessible, everyday objects, especially objects of the past. She custom prints her colorful, graphic patterns and sews them into simple lifestyle products.
Hand bags, mugs, cards, prints, and t-shirts are decorated with her original designs. The collection also features heavyweight linen, silk, and cotton accessories and pillows. Patterns can easily be mixed and matched to create interesting combinations and color stories.
In Summer 2011 she soft-launched Bohomodern at the 71 POP Collaborative Pop-Up Shop. Later that year Bohomodern launched it’s online and holiday pop-up shop, featuring collection originals as well as an array of vintage, found, fair trade, recycled, and new homewares, clothing, accessories, and other objects.
Margarita hopes to launch a permanent brick & mortar shop in the near future!
